Deliberations will continue tomorrow, Thursday, February 10th at 8.30am

There were no questions from the jury today, but just before dismissal at 3.40pm, they requested that some transcripts be made available to them tomorrow. They want to hear the testimony of G. William Hatfield, Dr. Dhafir’s accountant, again. Specifically they want to hear the testimony that relates to reduced postal rates. (more…)

The jury deliberated all day and had no questions for the judge. They were discharged at 3pm and deliberations will resume tomorrow, Wednesday 9th, at 8.30am

John O’Brien of the Post-Standard has brought an inaccuracy in my reporting of this case to my attention. I have said that the case started out as a terrorist investigation and that the government and media made much of this fact. It is more accurate to say that when this case was first brought to the attention of the public, it was presented as a case with links to terrorism. (more…)

I am just about to leave for the court and I wanted to leave people some questions to ponder. Mr. West, for the prosecution, at the end of the rebuttal assured the jury emphatically that there was no discrimination in this case because of the defendant’s race or religion. (more…)
