Below are links to a fundraising video that was shown at the trial in which Dr. Dhafir talks about the condition of Iraq under the sanctions and the terrible suffering Iraqi civilians, particularly the children, are having to endure. He is a vociferous critic of the U.S. Government’s policy and its effects on the civilian population of Iraq.
The video is approximately 50 minutes long. Ayman Jarwan, a co-defendant with Dhafir, who took a plea bargain, speaks for the first 10 minutes. Jarwan is serving 18 months in prison for breaking the U.S. sanctions on Iraq and will be released on December 25th, 2006. Dhafir speaks for the rest of the time.
