Over the course of the last few years, wonderful allies in the Japanese American community in NYC have provided continued solidarity to the No Separate Justice campaign and helped to shed light on the grave issues facing Muslim Americans in our country’s post-911 landscape.

The community is holding its annual Day of Remembrance again this year over this weekend, Feb. 18 and 19. Notable this year is the 75th anniversary of President Roosevelt’s signing of Executive Order 9066 which brought about the internment of 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWI.

Family members from the No Separate Justice campaign will be speaking at this event to read out loud the names of prisons where Muslim Americans are being held along with the names of internees and the lighting of a candle.

We hope many who support NSJ’s efforts will come out for this powerful weekend event.  Full details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/202569830215066/#
