The movie “The Pianist” tells Wladyslaw Szpilman’s story. Szpilman was a native of Poland, a renowned concert pianist, and also a Jew. He survived the Holocaust. The movie portrays his plight during the Second World War, and shows the consequences that he suffered solely because he was a Jew. The music of Frederic Chopin was an essential part of Wladyslaw Szpilman’s concert repertoire and makes up the soundtrack of the movie.

I recommend that people see this movie as an aid to understanding the cost, to one individual, solely for being a member of a selected group.
